Hello everyone! I’m acting as the president of Sigma Students Association this year, and hence, I would like to give you a brief introduction of our association. Sigma Students Association (Σ留学生会) was established more than 10 years ago as a student body to foster mutual understanding between the Japanese and International students of The Graduate School of Engineering Science / School of Engineering Science, Osaka University (基礎工学部、大阪大学）. At the Advisement Office (相談室) for International students, you can relax, access the web and enjoy talking with both, international as well as Japanese students. It is like a special place inside the university where you will feel at home, share lots of laughs, develop great memories and build strong bonds of friendship. If you encounter any sort of problems/difficulties, Japanese staff and other members of this association would be more than happy to lend a helping hand to help you.

produce handwritten verbatim notes (not summary notes) in lectures
conducted in English for a deaf student in the Graduate School of
Engineering Science.

Advisement Office for International Students in the Department of Engineering Science

 

 This office was founded in 1994 for supporting international students. The functionalities have been enhanced thanks to the understanding and the cooperation by a lot of department staff members, local volunteers and related people.

We provide information about campus life, daily life, study guide, Japanese culture and so on. Laptop computers, printer, video facility, traditional Japanese games and goods, meeting space are available in our office. Not only international students but also overseas researchers, their families and Japanese students are welcomed. We hope that you would take advantage of the office to make your campus life more comfortable.

Open:  11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekday basically
